Girl strangled by lorry driver should have been tucked up in bed

Stacey Lawrence"s physique was found in the taxi of a white Spar truck parked in a lay-by in Warmington, Northants, on Aug twenty-nine last year.

Recording a outcome of wrong murdering at her inquisition at Kettering Magistrates" Court, Northamptonshire coroner Anne Pember apologised to Stacey"s family for their loss.

Ms Pember said: "Miss Lawrence, I am deeply contemptible for the loss of you and your family of your daughter Stacey who was usually 9 years old.

"You entrusted her to the man you desired and who was your fiance. I have no critique of you, you could not have contemplated that such a tragedy could succeed her.

"Any primogenitor should be wakeful that sleeping in a truck taxi is not an suitable place for a nine-year-old lady who in my perspective should be safely tucked up in her bed at home."

Stacey was found in the taxi of the truck after concerns were lifted when she and Walker did not lapse home after a smoothness run.

Police called to the lorry, that was parked in a lay-by off the A605, found the schoolgirl lying in the bed of the taxi with a square of black chubby turn her neck.

The inquisition listened the youngster was underneath a duvet in the "unkempt" cab, with stays of food and her boots additionally in the lorry.

In a matter review to the justice Pc Robert Blott, who was called to the scene, said: "The taxi area was utterly dim and in an careless careless condition.

"The second is that it would indicate that she has been re-dressed after the situation and I have positively seen that in alternative cases," he added.
