Niall Quinn, the Sunderland chairman, has secretly done it transparent that he intends to sojourn constant to Bruce even if the bar are relegated.

"As prolonged as Niall Quinn stays chairman, Steve Bruce"s pursuit is very, really secure," a Wearside source told The Daily Telegraph.

Quinn calls on Sunderland fans" await Sunderland 0 Fulham 0 Cattermole: Sunderland fans can design shift in happening Shawcross"s "intent" is not the point Bruce fined by FA for arbitrate diatribe Sport on radio

"The understanding with [club owner] Ellis Short when Niall brought Steve to Sunderland last summer was that if they keep chopping and becoming different managers each five mins they could finish up where the likes of Leeds are now.

"Even if, God forbid, the bar was relegated there is a plan in place for Steve to get the bar behind up to the Premier League similar to he did at Birmingham. There will be a bill for the Premier League and a strait plan for the Championship.

"Niall will wish to see this by and is dynamic to get this right but there is no approach he will be knocked off march by one bad run of results."

Sunderland have not won in fourteen games. Bruce, who sealed a three-year understanding last summer, will be beholden for Quinn"s support.

"We"re creation swell and that in no small piece is down to the supporters," Quinn said. "Our attendances are already between the tip in the tip moody but it"s my idea to see this track full to the rafters for each game."

Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand added: "It would be naïve to contend we"re not in a relegation scrap. We don"t wish to go by what we put the fans by last year. We wish to be home and dry prior to the last dual or 3 games of the season."
